Biased gives you the tools to sort through thousands of stories happening daily. Rather than indexing the entire world forever, Biased simply aims to replace social media and corporate news filters, letting you control the firehose of information on your own terms. Simple text-based HTML interface. No ads.

The data is updated every 15 minutes from the Geographic Database of Events, Language, and Tone. GDELT provides a list of urls and geographic coordinates, along with automated rankings of event classification, potential global impact, and tone. Combined with full-text search, it makes a powerful toolkit for making sense of recent events.

This is a real-time search engine. We keep only a rolling archive of the last month of events to simplify operations. We track session cookies to ensure fair queueing and stability of service. Beyond that, Biased is free to use without an account.
